Urban Clothing Style For Men

Image
Being fashionable as a man has slowly but surely become a more common thing. Since fashion is always evolving it can be hard for guys to stay trendy, especially those who want to remain masculine, urban and edgy. I’ll outline some of the current trends in mens fashion as well as timeless practices that are sure to make you stand out while being original. Start with your shoes - Often overlooked by men as a ‘fashion’ accessory but we all know that women love their shoes for a reason. I always recommend starting with black, brown, and white dress / casual shoes as these will match just about any outfit you have. Once you have these pieces you can begin to consider ‘outlandish’ such as those cool Nike SB’s you’ve been eyeing. End with your wrist – One of the most simple accessories a man can have to stand out and express himself is a watch or bracelet(s). Wearing both allows you to accent your outfit and suggest matching your shoes or complimenting parts of your outfit. This is

Victorian Clothing Style For Men

During the 1840s, men wore tight-fitting, calf length frock coats and a waistcoat or vest. The vests were single- or double-breasted, with shawl or notched collars, and might be finished in double points at the lowered waist. For more formal occasions, a cutaway morning coat was worn with light trousers during the daytime, and a dark tail coat and trousers was worn in the evening. The shirts were made of linen or cotton with low collars, occasionally turned down, and were worn with wide cravats or neck ties. Trousers had fly fronts, and breeches were used for formal functions and when horseback riding. Men wore top hats, with wide brims in sunny weather. During the 1850s, men started wearing shirts with high upstanding or turnover collars and four-in-hand neckties tied in a bow, or tied in a knot with the pointed ends sticking out like "wings". The upper-class continued to wear top hats, and bowler hats were worn by the working class. In the 1860s, men started wearing

Every gothic gentleman worth his salt needs a long black coat.  The trick is to find one that looks suitably gothly without being covered in buckles and spider-print material (unless that’s what you’re into).    Galler Serpentine – another excellent and long-standing aussie label – offers a range of men’s coats, including this plain black Matrix-style priest coat.

Rock Revival clothing for men is a high quality brand that embodies the heart and soul of the immortalized rock star. To this end, Rock Revival has studied the creative genius, persona and style of some of the biggest stars in music and their passion for rock n' roll and translated that into a one of a kind Rock Revival clothing collection for men.  Regardless if you are in a band or not, the rockstar look can be pulled off if you have the right attitude. That is by far the most important fashion tip for this look, everything else is just karaoke. Beat up jeans in any cut also work well. Add the iconic black leather jacket. Look for a straight forward motorcycle jacket.  Start with the jeans. Well worn denim jeans, or industrial faded, and should fit the rockstar man to a T.  Skinny jeans are a definite rockstar look, but not for every man.  Check thrift stores and vintage clothing shops before considering a new piece. The more beat up looking, the bet

Military Style Clothing For Men

Military fashion for men is something that never seems to go out of style. Sometimes pundits in the fashion industry will say that camo is out, but it never seems to go away.  Like its true purpose of disguising people, it's deceptive in that even when it seems to go away, it is still there.   The styles are inspired from many different countries and their particular battle uniforms spanning over many years.  These fashion styles can be found in camo-colored watches, functional lace-up boots and dark green jackets. They can also take on elements similar to this look, but become entirely their own fashion piece. By matching a piece of military fashion for men, the styles accentuate a variety of different outfits wonderfully.
